What Exactly Is A Custom Fit Golf Club?
More and more golfers are beginning to see that having custom
fit golf clubs are definitely the way to go. Yet, few know
exactly what goes into a custom fit golf clubs.
Boulder City, Nevada - 5/25/06 - The Missing Competitive Edge.
There are only about 10% of you out there playing golf who
are using custom fit golf clubs. That leaves 90% of you
who are missing a tremendous opportunity to take advantage
of a game enhancing feature that EVERY Tour Pro on the
planet uses!
It's not your fault. This information isn't widely
available in it's purest form. We are beginning to see hints
of 'custom fit' options from the big golf club companies.
However, that only tells a very small part of the tale. Think
iceberg, 10% above water - 90% under the surface. They are
offering you a custom fit club, as long as its one of theirs!
What you end up with when you see "Company X's fitting cart"
with all their clubs for you to get fit with is nothing more
than a person who looks at a couple of characteristics in your
swing and then makes a recommendation for you. It is never
more than how long the clubs should be, and what flex shaft
you should be using. Presto, you are now custom fit!
While this offering is better than nothing, there is a much
better way. If your curiosity has overwhelmed you, visit
http://www.WhyCustomFit.com for more.
True custom fitting puts the golfer right in the center of
the process. It's not about the clubs, it's all about the golfer.
Here is a breakdown of the fitting model I use as a professional
clubmaker when I do a custom fitting with a customer:
* 5 major fitting categories that I prioritize with the golfer:
Distance, Accuracy, Feel, Trajectory, Consistency
* These 5 categories are prioritized independently for the
driver, fairway woods, long irons/hybrids, mid irons,
short irons, and the putter
* There are 20 golf club specifications that I work with
to influence these 5 major categories
This type of information isn't readily available, so I have
written a short guide that will help you out in a big way.
In my guide, "Custom Fitted Golf Clubs - Can They Help Me?",
you will learn why your clubs are actually hurting your game!
You will learn about some of the major specifications that are
killing your consistency, and your enjoyment of this game.
After you read this guide, I am confident that you will know
more about how golf clubs work than 99% of the people who
play this game.
To get a copy of the guide, visit http://www.WhyCustomFit.com.
I look forward to your feedback or questions after you read it.

Finding the Best Golf Equipment Can Be Easy By Brian Johansson The game of is one that encompasses many different facets. One must be focused, courteous and be well trained in his skill. The latter must be crafted by practice and using the right tools that can bring out the best result of your skill. In no way does equipment define the player, but it can refine the overall result. Almost any professional will stress that it is hard to project your best effort without the right tools. Finding the right tools is not as easy as just dropping a large amount of money at a pro shop. There are some things you should know when you are choosing your equipment that will make a big difference.
Many amateur golfers will stress that getting the best equipment for the least price is key. As you refine your skill, you refine your tools to perpetuate your game. An expensive set of clubs will never ensure a better score. Taking the time to select all of your equipment will be well spent if your do it correctly. Begin your search with visiting a couple of local shops and inquire your desire for equipment. Make sure to throw your existing equipment in the trunk
of your car, because this way you can compare your old stuff with some of what they can offer you. Good shops have a practice range set up so that you can demo clubs. If your drive is what you are looking to improve, first look at only drivers. Swing with your old club and then try three recommended clubs. Correcting your slice or distance could come from two very different clubs. Treat every club the same. You may only need a new 9 iron for chipping. Buying a full set of brand new Ping clubs could hurt your game more than it helps. Stay with what works and go from there. People who work in pro shops are avid and fellow players; there is a lot of free advice that you can get from people who work in these shops. The main reason to buy a brand new set of clubs is that you are proficient with your existing set of clubs and simply want to extend your game. This is an uncommon situation for most amateurs, and it is a common mistake to simply buy a new set of clubs. If you separate your game into three parts (long, middle and short game), you will be able to start dissecting what you really need to improve.
